Good Intentions

Good day Beloved. You ever have “one of those days”? You make plans, tell yourself you intend to do… fill in the blank. In the morning everything looks good. No problems achieving the goals you set for the day ahead. Lunch time rolls around, you think I still have time. Next thing you know the sun is setting and your good intentions go unfulfilled. Sometimes I feel like my whole life is filled with unfulfilled good intentions. What a mouthful that is.

I found out something a long time ago that I seem to keep forgetting. Start with small intentions, tiny even. Then fulfill it as soon as possible after you wake up. Sooner or later, fulfilling your good intentions will become a habit. Another option would be to not set intentions in the first place. Yeah, try the first option for awhile, see how you can make it work.

One “good intention” that I would strongly encourage you to set and fulfill is to tell someone you love them EVERY day. I know in these Covid times we are all having, that may seem like an undoable intention. Let me put a bit of a different spin on things. Everyday when you wake up, look in the mirror and tell the person lookin back at you that you love them. For some of us, myself included, that may be the hardest thing you do all day. I think it may also be the most important thing we do all day. I know a lot of people are good at role playing while at work or in social settings. Making those around you think everything is “fine”. Are WE willing to take the challenge? Are WE willing to take the risk? Are WE willing to fulfill the good intention that is US?

I know that is a lot to take in on some level but think about it with me for a moment. Long time ago I equated love to a gas tank. To make whatever the tank is connected to work, the tank has to lose it’s filling. For that “whatever” to continue the tank needs to be continually filled. Right now I think what the world around us needs is for US to BE the “whatever”. That means we need to continually fill our personal love tank so that we can give it away to those around us that need it. Follow That? I hope so.

So back to the good intention, start every day with me looking in the mirror and telling ourselves we love us. When we start to believe it, we can start to give it away to those around us. Think about joining me in BEING the good intention.

Beloved, have a lovely…
