Good day Beloved, a while back when my pup and I were walking in the morning before I had to trundle off to work. I looked up to appreciate the morning sky and discovered to my delight one of my favorite sights. The moon in the morning. I love the sight of the moon in the morning blue sky. Part of why I like this sight is that it makes me feel small, not in a bad way but like a child being securely held by a parent. That comfort that seeps right to the bone. I hope you know what that feels like, Beloved.
I think everyone from time to time needs to be comforted like this. Often in our busy adult worlds we can end up needing to give more comforting then we get. Especially now when we are still in the throes of Covid, it can be a bit difficult to find reassuring comfort that seeps to the bones. If you happen to be sequestered with someone you really get along with you may have more chance of getting this comfort but for many people who are alone it can be tough. How do we reach out in times like this? I wish I had a 1.2.3. step process to achieve the desired goal but I don’t. Unfortunately this is something we each need to work out with our own Beloved or maybe our therapist.
I have in my adult life become a believer in asking for help when needed. A ZOOM meeting will never replace a good bear hug but a friendly face and comforting words do help. Technology can be a great help to keeping us all sane when times are anything but. Yeah.
Beloved, if you are in a place where you are in need of comforting, please, please reach out to someone. If you are in a place where you can be a help to someone else, please, please do so. Some days we are strong, some days not so much.
Regardless of where you are at this moment Beloved hear this. Here is a bear hug, a kiss on the cheek, and an I love you in your ear.
Beloved, have a lovely…
