Good Day Beloved,
At the time that I am writing this I want us all to be aware of all the suffering the world over. Floods and fire and everything in between is happening on our beloved planet. I am not going to contemplate all this but something else. I just wanted you to know that I am aware and not forgetting or ignoring the world outside of my own little bubble that I have created for myself and am grateful for. With that said, here is the post for today.
How are you today? I am alright. Thinking I may be a bit looney tunes but still alright. For a while now when my Waggy Butt and I are taking our morning constitutional (walk) I have been thinking about the MIB movies (Men in Black). I really enjoy them but that is not the topic of my choosing today.
Do you know the scene where the older dude stops himself from stepping on a beetle and the beetle says thank you? What if we are that size to some other being? Ever think about that? I think about things along this vein fairly often just because I find it difficult to believe that we are a one-off so to speak.
I mean if God is God then He could create as many universes inside, outside, upside, downside, and beside our universe as He wants, yeah. I wonder if every one of those universes He has created has a population like humans who think they are the best thing since sliced bread. Maybe we are as an ant to an elephant. Not hugely significant when there is but one little ant, yeah.
You remember that ending scene from MIB? The main MIBer’s open a door that marked not to be opened and when the camera pans out we see that they are really looking out from inside a locker. Maybe there really is a Restaurant at the End of the Universe, and in the back room is a door marked not to be opened.
Bet you didn’t plan on going off the deep end with me today did you, ha, ha. Oh well, as usual I have something for you to think about if you are so inclined. The next time you have the opportunity to meander down the sidewalk at a leisurely pace, if you happen to see a beetle or maybe even an ant cross your path, DO NOT step on it. If you listen hard you will hear a thank you. Oh, and maybe the next time you are sure the sky is falling on you and it doesn’t, remember to utter a thank you of your own.
Beloved, have a lovely…
