Blessed Be

Hello Beloved,

How is this lovely holiday season treating you? Over the weekend here where I am we were blessed with more than 12 inches of snow. Yay! Ah, not so much. I know I live in the great white north as some say but my old arthritic bones do prefer a more sublime clime.

My poor little pup couldn’t even get off the steps until I shoveled. She is after all only about 10 inches at the shoulders or so.

The bright, clear blue sky and the brilliant white snow are beautiful to gaze upon. I wonder Beloved, what are your struggles these days?

This holiday season has me thinking about what is to come. Like the ghost of future past, sometimes things are clear and other times they are as clear as mud. I heard a commercial the other day and a phrase struck my ear, “greatness lies on the other side of sleep”.

I wonder how many people hope that another day lies on the other side sleep. Does your heart ache for those who live in less secure situations than we do? Mine does.

How do the homeless handle a foot of snow falling on them while they try to survive another night? Even though to me, my struggles are huge, I know how very fortunate I am.

This season Beloved, when you are able, share the good fortune you experience with someone you do not know. Listen to your innermost heart. It will tell you what and when.

Blessed be Beloved, blessed be.
