Monday, Monday

Good day Beloveds,

How does this last Monday of the year of our Lord two thousand and twenty-one find you? Still tired from the just past holiday and or anxiously looking forward to the one yet to come. Are you like most people and always hoping that next year will be better? Are there ever times when you find yourself simply living in the moment?

Personally, I find that a difficult thing to do on some levels. On one level how could I do anything but be in the moment when the moment is filled with the sounds of my happy little flock parakeets and a pup that is snoring contentedly beside me. On another level I spend what seems to be a lot of energy waiting and hoping that as soon as ___________ gets done things will be better. Fill in the blank with whatever fits for you. Then of course there is still another level where the days gone by kick up dust so they can claim some of our energies and a lot of our peace.

Soon another page will turn on the calendar and there will be nothing, absolutely nothing any of us can do to change that. Why does it seem like we the people fight the passing of time so hard? People always have and always will want something different than what we have at this moment in time. When we are young we wish to be old enough to do _________. When we are old we wish to be young again. We make plans and then get frustrated when those plans do not work out the way we wanted them too.

Beloved in this day and in this hour will you join me taking a deep breath and being grateful for a moment. Express thanks that we survived another year in spite of the bad stuff that has happened. Express hopefulness for all that is yet to come. Express gratitude for all that we have learned from the past. Most of all Beloved, breathe in this moment and cherish it no matter how you find yourself.

Monday, Monday so good to me.

Beloved, blessed be…
