Domino Effect

Good day beloved,

Have you ever played the game of dominos? Until the first tile is played anything is possible. The first tile determines the limited possibilities for every move after that. The other day I wanted to move one single piece of furniture, what I got was a game of dominos. In order to make the move I really wanted I had to make other moves and when the move I wanted was complete. I had to make more moves to settle the game.

Isn’t that the way life seems to be. Nothing is simple and straight forward. For instance, I have a surgery coming up, i.e., the main move. Before the main move can happen, a list of preparatory moves has to happen and after the main move, a whole list of other moves has to happen before I can be totally released back into the wild so to speak.

You know I have been thinking about this domino effect and how it relates to adulting. Seems for me anyway that it is a side effect or maybe a result of adulting. See there was day when I would not have cared about the moves before and after the main move.

Adulting encourages me to do things the most appropriate way I am able thus the domino effect. Ever wish you could go back to when dominos was just a game and nothing more.

Sometimes, yes. These days though I always have the option of adulting or taking a break from it. That I think is better than not being aware that there are options, yeah.

Adult dominos, do what you must in order to do what you need so that you can do what you want.

Beloved this is the first post of the year of our Lord Two Thousand Twenty-Two. I hope with every fiber of my being that this year all the dominos fall in your favor.

Beloved, blessed be…
