I am sure you have been asked this question at some point along the way. Who would you like to have dinner with, living or dead, actual or imagined? I really like to hear what people say to this question. It gives insight to the person being asked about how they think deep inside. At least that is my opinion.
I know some people automatically say Jesus, I think that is really an avoidance answer. Now don’t get me wrong, Jesus of Nazareth is certainly on my list. I will have my time with Him eventually. I like to think my list is pretty wide ranging because I have a curious mind. Some of the names include, Eleanore Roosevelt, Barrack Obama, Michelangelo, Katie Stone, Arlene Ackerman, Sue Monk Kidd, Kim Locke…. I could go on for a while here.
Oh, Duane Johnson and Dana Owens. Arlene Langmaack, Reca Bruce, Chris Nelson, Jonathan Larson, sorry. Names just keep coming up.
There are enough names on my list to last the rest of my life I think. There are and have been and will be so many interesting people. Including people on the block where I live. Sadly for me I actually like critters more than I like people.
If I could I would have dinner my past and present critters. I would love to know what they are thinking. What does the beardie think of the kittens sleeping in her space with her. So many questions. How about talking with a T Rex and hearing what really happened?
Well, think about who you would like to have dinner with and why. What would you want to learn from them? Beloved, break bread with me. Come, let us reason together.
