Hello beloved, I am wondering if you have someone you can truly call on anytime no matter what. I think I do. I also think it is a bit on the rare side for most people. Especially these days of false connections with social media. The other day I was watching a tv show out of the UK and was reminded of one of my favorite verses from the book of Jeremiah. It says “Call on me and I will answer you, I will tell great things, things you do not yet know”. This is my own paraphrase but it’s pretty close. This is the Creator (use name of your choice) saying this. I think this is pretty cool.
It can be hard work sometimes to be the one that gets called on. Care providers and parents probably know this without being reminded. On the one hand it can be a privilege to carry someone’s trust. We just need to do our best to be worthy of it and be willing to fess up when we fall short. We also need to be honest with ourselves and them when we are the ones doing the calling.
So about now you’re thinking what’s my point? I don’t know for sure. I guess I want to encourage you to really know yourself and realize how blessed you are if you are happen to be on either side of the “ call”. Those who call to me these days are critters. I think every day that it is my privilege to care for them and it warms my heart when one of the climbs up and takes a nap in my arms. Not near the same as a human calling but it’s what I have now. Beloved, be blessed, be safe, know you are loved.
