Timeless Age, Ageless Time

Hello Beloved, as I sit here writing to you it is snowing with gusto. I had been hoping that the waiter was over but not just yet. The snow is very pretty and I am glad I do not have any reason to leave the house. Sometimes I think about how soft and spoiled I have become as I have aged.

There was a time when I worked two full time jobs and wouldn’t let anything stop me from getting in my car and hitting the road. Now if there is slight chance of bad weather I am hunkering down and canceling any plans there might have been. I am very content to stay here in my little animal sanctuary and watch the weather through my windows. I wonder sometimes what I will be like when I actually get old.

What is age and why do people get so bent out of shape about it? I have worked with people north of seventy who could work circles around people who were supposed to be in their prime. Also I have known young people who were wiser and better adjusted than their elders. What do you think about the idea that age is just a falsify that has been shoved down our throats by some old white man who wants a way too young woman to hang on his arm.

Seems in some times and cultures it was expected that kids marry by thirteen or earlier and you were considered way past your prime by twenty nine. How about the idea of there being a time when people lived hundreds of years.

I wish I had some hard ans fast answers Beloved, I don’t so I guess I’ll just be content to sit here in my rocking chair watching the world go by outside my window as a cat purrs in rhythm to my petting her fur. Beloved, remember to tell those you love that you love them while there is still time to do so.
