Hello Beloved, the other day I had the TV on for a bit of noise distraction for my fur babies and one of the characters in whatever show was on said something that caught my ear. I think it was a kid, asked the title question. Where is dead? How would you answer this question? Do people who die go somewhere we can’t see?
It is my understanding that pretty much all cultures have some kind of belief in an afterlife. It is also my understanding that most myths, stories, wife’s tales, etc. have a at least a small grain of truth. My knowledge about various religions is also extremely limited. But I do know that I grew up knowing that there is more than the world we can physically see and touch.
I believe that someday we will have the opportunity to see those who have already passed on. I also believe that every now and then the worlds collide, and for a brief moment a window is opened between the physical and the other. Some of us are able to access that window. I guess I kinda think of it as parallel timelines or paths that come together.
So, for me the answer to where is dead, is this, dead is the other side of what we can see and touch. A different timeline, a different path, a different universe. I think for me anyway there is comfort in knowing or believing that when our physical, mortal bodies cease to breathe we just step through the door or walk through a tunnel and come out someplace that is more than our mortal minds can fathom. A place filled with more beauty, more peace, more love, more life, just more. Likewise, I also believe that the door or tunnel can lead to a place that is more dark, more separation than we can imagine.
For me personally, I am looking forward to someday, many years from now, leaving this world for the next. I believe that I will again be with my Beloved. That I will finally be able to understand what my critters are saying. That I will see dragons and angels. That I will see my God face to face.
I will never know what you believe Beloved, but I hold out hope that someday, we shall meet in the other. To me dead is just “other”. Does that make sense to you? Cool if it does and it’s okay if it doesn’t.
Beloved, have a lovely…

When I ask God for a sign of a loved one that has passed something comes to me, as when our beloved alasken dog passed away the next morning as I was weeping in the kitchen a coyote that looked exactly like our dog ran up the driveway and down the road, I got the chills and realized that he is now free and running around in heaven, I have never before or after that seen a coyote in the driveway
